Likewise, Coco went on to earned three more singles titles since and is ready to take on World No. 1, Iga Swiatek. Despite talk of recent injuries, Iga is gearing up to snag her second title of 2024, after winning the Qatar TotalEnergies Open a couple weeks ago. As the first Polish player to ever win a Major title, she will demonstrate her athleticism, along with her will to win, especially if she's to face Aryna Sabalenka. Ranked No. 2, Sabalenka returns to Indian Wells after finishing last year as the runner-up in singles. Not to mention she has a lot of moment from back to back championship titles at the Australian Open. Sabalenka was propelled into the No. 1 spot for the first time in her career at the end of 2023. You can bet she won't let anyone stand in the way at the BNP, including Elena Rybakina. As the defending women’s singles champion, Elena will have her work cut out for her. She'll also be looking for her third title of 2024 after winning in Brisbane and Abu Dhabi.
