Kyrgios has stepped down from the Atlanta singles tournament due to a knee injury. However, he plans to rest up and participate in the Atlanta doubles tournament. Kenin said she was grateful to be playing after being in a cast back in April. She hadn't competed since Indian Wells, where she had to leave due to a foot injury. This injury caused her to drop rank, going from no. 4 to no. 419. When Kenin stepped onto the courts in Atlanta she had a rough go at it when she went against Gauff. She lost the exhibition match in a set and a break at 6-1 and 2-0. Meanwhile, Gauff was living it up on the courts, impressing fans and dialing up her game after 10 years away from Atlanta.John Isner
Isner has dominated the Atlanta Open with six titles and is shooting for his seventh. He has proven to be a challenging opponent on hard courts in general, some are predicting that Isner will rise to ATP's No. 2 position.Jenson Brooksby
Brooksby has had a great go at it this year winning three matches each at the ATP Masters 1000 events. He said he learned a lot this year on the clay and grass courts and believes he can do even better.
